Good Lord that's awesome. I understand you can be born, grow up, get an education, marry, have a family, retire, and die on an aircraft carrier, all without leaving the ship.
In '71, I met and shook hands with Richard Petty, David Pearson, Buddy Baker, Bobby Issacs, etc. Also hung around "Dyno" Don Nicholson's pit stealing spark plugs for souveneirs, and met Don Prudomme for the first time. Shook his hand again 25 years later. That's before I learned about autocross and road racing. Spent the rest of the 70s at Road Atlanta, in a pup tent covered with red clay dust, or mud.
Loved every minute of both. Ernest Hemmingway said the only true sports were mountain climbing, bullfighting, and racing cars. So far I have two covered.. news from Malaga and Mexico City next.....
I got a tour of the real USS Enterprise. Nimitz-class carriers have 2 nuclear reactors. The Enterprise has 8. If memory serves from the tour, almost 90,000 tons, zero to 35 knots in ONE MINUTE. Some rumors say she'll do more than 50 knots at full crank.

That's what i originally thought, but the rear looks wrong. I almost thought it was a Scirrocco for a minute, but that doesn't seem right, either.
