I really like that. My dad's been gone for over 10 years now and my fondest memories of him are working with him doing anything. I learned so much from him. There is so much he knew though that I didn't learn. He retired from the Navy in 1946 after a major injury ended his career as an aircraft mechanic in Pensacola, FL. He was an amatuer astromomer who built his own telescopes and photography set up. He was an amatuer archeologist and geologist. He was very adept at working with wood. He lost track of how many musical instruments (including dulcimers, guitars, vilolins, a banjo, a balilika, and a floor harp) grandfather clocks, and antique furniture replicas. He built his own home and woodworking shop. He was a master gardener, producing huge amounts of food, much of which he gave to neighbors and family members. There were many more accomplishents during his lifetime. All of this in his SPARE time. He maintained a career as a railroad worker until he retired.

Sorry, no picture to post but Aircooled's post caused me to once again value my good fortune of having him as my father.
