I remember a R&T road test of a V8 Monza and they noted that the plastic wheel covers melted and fell off the car during the braking tests.
The V6 variants couldn't have weighed much less.

If I ever get one I can't imagine anything on the car that won't be upgraded.

Hope your welding skills are immense. Moffat's car is an AAGT tube-frame, silhouette racer from the mid-70's. The car(s) debuted at the 1975 Rd Atlanta IMSA spring event.
