Can we please stop posting things were THANKFUL for ?

Well we have all kinds of other threads, how about a Gratitude thread?

I'll start.

I'm thankful for the running and cutting lawn mower my neighbor gave me last year.  Thanks Roger!

I don't think about it that often, but I really should be much more thankful for my apparently fairly kick ass immune system. I get a cold once in a while, but it's usually quickly dealt with. Other than that in the past 20 years or so, I've missed a day or two of work due to a flu and that's it. Outside of a D.O.T. physical I haven't seen the inside of a doctor's office in many moons. Sooner or late my luck will run out I figure, but it's been great not having to deal with illness.

Wow.  It's a long list.  Loving wife, two healthy kids who kick butt in school, house, cars that run....

Gainfully employed for many years ina stable (if boring) job, cars and car friends and our shenanigans (see employment), SWMBO that loves me for/in spite of who I am, this furry dog next to me snoring a little...

Sober.

Family that wants me around, and is sad when i leave.

Toilet paper. 

Gainfully employed 

Healthyish

Enough money to get by

The list goes on and on. Im am a truly blessed man.

Thankful for my beautiful wife of 12 years. She has truly helped me become a better man, and blessed me with wonderful children.

Thankful to be on this side of the grass.

Beer, bourbon, and wine.  And my ability to enjoy and appreciate each.

A cool family, without whom I would be lonely in this world.

Better than usual health.  It appears my genetics are pretty sweet!

I'm thankful for the GM 3800 and the superchargers they lend to our projects, the Busso V6 and the beautiful noise they make, aaaaaaaaaaaaand flat-plane V8's mated to 180-degree headers.

I'm thankful my truck keeps working. I'm not terribly attentive to it's needs, but it's always there, ready to drive the whole family around in relative comfort. 

That and my wife continuing to put up with my silliness. 

Also grateful that my mom is almost 71 and still quite healthy.  Reminded me of the first Turkey Day after my parents separated.  We were staying with her friend and her 3 kids. I don't think either of them were familiar with cooking turkey, so they decided they needed to start super early am. I remember them waking us up saying "wake up, it's time for dinner."

Cue the puzzled 12 yr old me, expecting eggs and bacon, instead getting turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. Interesting times... Happy Turkey Day mom.

Thankful that I was born a white male in North America during the baby boom.

Meat.  I’m thankful for meat. 

Not to sound like a shiny happy person, but I'm thankful for distance. There are some things that are easier to realize when you're 2500 miles away, like how maybe I'm not the crazy one, and like how I can read a town like a book.

I'm' thankful for SWMBO. She puts up with my idiosyncrasies.  She has never tried to change me. Listening to my long winded stories. She even wants to get her motorcycle license to ride mith me. She's something special and I'm a better person because of her.

I'm thankful for a healthy and mostly happy family. Also thankful for all my friends and very thankful for my awesome wife who puts up with all my hobbies and even joins me in many of them Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I'm thankful IFC is continuing the thanksgiving Three Stooges marathon tradition. 

I'm thankful I'm no longer forced to spend thanksgiving with people I despise.

And slab bacon. Definitely thankful for for solid slab bacon. 

I am thankful for my friends and family who accept my faults and don't try too hard to change me.

As each of my girls woke up this morning I gave them a hug and a kiss and told them that what I'm most thankful for is my awesome family.

They wanted to know where this other family was and when they got to meet them.

Me too! Scored the fat cap, rubbed it with brown sugar and black pepper, 20 minutes at 400, then 3 under the broiler.

I'm thankful for a lot this year. I have a great job, my family is still somewhat functional, and I have a roof over my head. I'm also very thankful that I get to share one of my hobbies, writing about cars, with all of you folks. I still can't believe that I get to do that, and that people actually want to read what goes on inside my head.

I’m thankful for being bored at work rather than being at the E36 M3 show my in laws always devolves into. 

I'm thankful for direct port nitrous injection, four core intercoolers, ball bearing turbos, and titanium valve springs.

Someone had to do it.

Honestly it's been and up and down year.  I'm thankful I've only lost things that can be replaced.
