So, whatcha handing out this year? I went with two classics: Hershey Miniatures and Swedish Fish. My wife picked up some assortments. As usual, now I'm wondering if we have enough. They truck the kids into our neighborhood. In fact, there's so much traffic that we just sit at the top of the driveway and hand out candy.

I have a chocolate only policy. Its what I wanted as a kid so its what I buy as adult.
Thanks for the reminder to turn off all the lights and pretend like I'm not home.
We haven't had any trick or treaters in 5+ years, so I quit buying candy that I ended up eating myself or taking to work to get rid of.
Haven't turned the porch light on in years, quit buying candy. Kids were too berkeleying lazy to walk the 100' up the driveway.
edit: and they must be truckin' em in, never seen so many kids on this street eva. It's a berkeleyin' racket I tell ya.
6:08 and we just had our first kid. The little ones always look for overwhelmed.
Mini candy bars and skittles.
Ours have been showing up since about 5:50
I have reeses, york peppermint patties, peanut butter snickers, and mound bars
We've only had one kid so far. This year we're handing out bags of chips. Yay, Costco!

We don't get any kids out here. It's about the only downside of owning a farm.
This is our first Halloween in this house so I'm not sure how busy we are gonna be, so we got Reeses cups, mini twix, mini snickers and mini peanut butter snickers. So if we have leftover candy we will actually enjoy it.
In reply to Wayslow:
Pretty sure I could live with that downside.
We get 150+ kids, want to trade.
Tootsie Rolls, because I get to eat whatever is left. We have had 6 kids so far. That matches last year's total already.

Mini sizes of Twix, Junior Mints, Almond Joys, and Butterfingers.
Skittles, Cookies n Cream Hersheys, Hersheys with almonds, 3 muskeeteers, m&m's, orange colored kit-kat (?), and snickers.
So, for how long have the green skittles been "sour apple"? Weren't they lime, say, 20+ years ago?

nothing … we've had one trick-r-treater since 1963
A couple of bags of Tootsie-roll heavy mix, a bag of Smarties, and a bag of Starburst two-packs. Somehow, no milk chocolate fell into my cart this year. I am embarrassed.
Only one set of visitors so far. A three-foot-tall cop, and a tiger in Mom's arms. Perfect!

About a year ago, they were lime, then they were ruined. No explanation as to why.

Candy bars.
Took the kids out - it is snowing, wind from the north and -2 degrees C.
Only have gotten 2 sets of kids for a grand total of 6 people. Gave them each over 5 pieces though.
I expected more people given the neighborhood I live in
I am working until 10 tonight and we normally don't get any trick or treaters anyway.

sour apple is ok … but lime was the E36 M3s
Just got back from being out with the boy. He got a full basket. I've had a couple Whoppers, so far
I locked the house and went for beer and oysters on the half shell. My kids are done with that E36 M3 and I'm glad for it.
Get off my lawn!
