After looking at the Lexus lc500, the shape is great. The grill, not to my taste. I wonder if I'll like it 5 years from now. I used to think gremlins were gawd-awful. Now they're pretty cool. What cars have grown on you over time?

I won't admit to liking it, but on the odd occasion that I see a Pacer, they don't look nearly as offensive as they did in 1980.

Subaru XT coupe. It completely summarizes all that was good and cool in 80's Japanese cars.
Aztec, although I must admit that I never really hated it.
Porsche Panamera, Nissan Leaf. I used to find them downright offensive, but now I'm just 'Meh'. Heck--from behind the wheel, the Panamera is sublime.
I hated these, but they aren't that bad in person. The look grew on me honestly, I'd consider one if they had better engine options.
BUT, I'm a person who loves early 60s Chrysler looks, so my tastes are highly suspect.
I used to think Volvo (140 and 240 series especially were ugly. I still don't think they are beauty queens but now I quite like them for their rugged charm. Even owned a 244 for a while.

The tail and taillights on a GTV6. As a kid I always wanted my dad to park his backed into the garage because I thought the tail was ugly when we opened the garage door, and the big taillights were ungainly.
Now I think it's a solid kamm tail design.
I think those of you who said Gremlin or Pacer are on to something. When I was a kid and regularly saw AMC Eagles on the road, I did not like them. At all. Now I think they are pretty cool.
Edit: Also, I think AMC was trying to invent the crossover/CUV thing three decades too early.

This would be a lot easier to do the inverse of. THere are many cars I once thought were amazing that did not stand the test of time.

I don't think the Aztec is pretty, but if it came out in 2012ish with the body colored bumpers, it would have fit right in with everything else.

That's just because ugly was an anomaly in the Aztek's heyday; now everything is ugly

It was basically an M3. A fwd M3. With drum brakes. And truck arm rear suspension. It was definitely somewhere in the spectrum between an M3 and a ford tempo.

My uncle had one of these. It was a 1975, it had 4 doors, and it was green on green with a green landau roof. All I remember was that I couldn't see over the dashboard as a kid, and I hated that.
