FWIW, I have many members of my family either veterans or active duty and give discounts to grunts (I don't have the same respect for officers in general). I have done search and rescue with the CAP, but that's not the same. War is unavoidable at times but is used too often by people who have never risked, and would never risk,their blood. That always pisses me off!

I consider myself pretty damn liberal, and I do disagree with people all the time, but I try to do it with grace and basic politeness. Something I think iadr needs to learn.

While you seem like a completely rational person capable of having an honest debate, unfortunately we are in the wrong forum for that.
Oh, and I looked up a few of your previous posts. You seem to post in RIP posts often. Your posts in the Fidel Castro thread were considerably more favorable.
