I have chased down like 15 "FREE pair of glasses!!" mailers and E-mails and ads. Once I say I want sunglasses and antiglare coating, the total ends up being like $100.
So, GRM, what's the magic formula for cheap prescription sunglasses? Is there one, or are they all expensive?
Sunny days, tired eyes, and my eyes squint enough that I'm basically blind driving home and such.

Yup. Used 'em, love 'em, they are cheap even if it takes a little time to get your order.
I find that my "photo gray" or what ever they are called work quite well for me.
On sunny, snowy days they get really dark, on cloudy days not so much.
Of course, that would mean new prescription glasses.
I know you hate WalMart, but Deucekid #4 has a pair from there that were less than $30 and have held up great for a year. He's sensitive to bright light and prefers them over his 'good' glasses.

Costco, bro.
Otherwise, $100 doesn't seem expensive to me. But I own 3 pairs of non-prescription sunglasses that cost over $100, and I'm a cheapskate who doesn't care about status. Not to get all high and mighty, but cheap sunglasses can be (not always, but can be) bad for your eyes.

My wife just got two pair of glasses and one pair of sunglasses for $65 shipped to our door. Fan-fricnk-tastic. I am next, just have to swing by Sams Club for my eye exam. After that I'm going to get two pairs of normal glasses, one pair of "birth control" Army style glasses for the garage and one pair of tinted "birth control" glasses for yard work.

That website looks like a winner.
I spend more money because I insist on having polarization in sunglasses.
I am not sure on how useful the anti-fingerprint coatings and such are.

I go +4 for Zenni. My experiences have had orders completed in 7-10 days.
I have no experience with anti-fingerprinting effectiveness but they do include a free cleaning mini-towel with each order.

Polarized is a must.
The anti coatings, I usually leave off my sunglasses, but get on my regular glasses. I don't tend to get finger prints or sweat on the sunglasses.

I had a pair of my old glasses tinted at a Walmart optical once, was <$20.
For all you Zenni fans, would you mind posting the number of your frames? The problem I have ordering from them is picking a frame that will actually look good once I see it in person.
In reply to SEADave:
Take a picture of your face, upload it to Zenni, see the frames on your face.
You will need your PD. (pupil distance)
If you look at the temples of your current frames it will give you the temple length.
If you look on the bridge of the frame, it will give you the frame width.
Those two numbers should get you close to the size you need.
Oh, if you are anything like me, get your wife's advice on frames. I usually hate the ones I choose.

This is timely info. I just got back from the optometrist who said, "You don't need new reading glasses, you need glasses". I'm not good at this kind of thing.

Zenni delivered. Hit up the FSA for reimbursement. Wearing them now. I look 100% sexier with them on. (1*0=0)
Thanks!

Same here. I've had great vision all my life now he is having me tested for glaucoma, and I'm only 45. Think I too will be looking at some "good" sunglasses in addition to my regular glasses.

Awesome I just broke my glasses this weekend.
I was gonna click and then I thought, secret porn link so I didnt
There is no need to go for expensive sunglasses, there are many online stores from where you can get fashionable and protective glasses with high quality at very affordable price. One of my friends is a rider and he had an amazing collection of sunglasses. He suggested me few wholesale fashion sunglasses sites having an affordable and cool collection one can check out. Hope it is useful.

Canoe. Might be worth locking this thread.
I was going to chime in that my experience with 39dollarglasses was far better than my experience with Zenni. The lenses on my Zennis started "peeling" after a few months, and I didn't order any kind of coating. My lenses from 39dollarglasses have held up very well. Maybe not as cheap as Zenni, but far, far better product.
