wonder how many other bugs have a similar setup.. now that they know what to look for, they will probably find many examples of it.. also, what will this do with the evolution/intelligent design argument?

this reminds of a while back when they discovered those bacteria with the tails that were essentially mounted in a bearing that allowed it to pivot a full 360 degrees to use as a means of propulsion.. the holy roller anti evolution crowd jumped all over it as proof that evolution isn't real because no other examples exist in other species, but then the biologists found a whole slew of similar structures in a lot of different species of bacteria..

i guess what i'm saying is that these things are fun...
