Cheez Its, definitely, though Nips will do in a pinch.
I'm not a huge fan of either but my wife and her daughters are squarely in the Cheez-Its camp. Failure to bring home the right brand may have long-term adverse relationship consequences. Snack-cracker-wise, I do what I am told.

But seriously folks... Actually, at the office we have a thing called "google dare" where we occasionally dare each other to do an unfiltered image search on a seemingly innocuous phrase. Or, if we're just feeling cruel it's a not so innocuous phrase. jg
That reminds me of the time I was looking for a spindle drive for a German made CNC machine at work.
It's pronounced Loosht, it's spelled Lust. Not a lot of luck finding drives that day.
I don't eat cheese, nor any imitation processed cheese food like snacks.
My wife sent me on a grocery run and the list had Cheez-Its on it. Unable to read her writing and being cheaper, I got Cheeze-Nips. When I got home she got upset and said something about me not ever reading or listening and just doing what I want. Seriously, to me they taste the same. Wife-130 Me-0

Do you have that recipe? I have been looking for a good cheese-straw recipe.

Personally I've never had any luck with baking in general, so I haven't tried myself. I do know my Grammy's secret ingriedient was a few drops of prune juce. Added a great tang to the flavor!
