Crazy things that Google thinks I want to see...
This brings to mind some advice that my dad thought I needed to recieve multiple times. "Just because you've gotten away with something before doesn't mean that it's a good idea"
That picture has been making the rounds of the Internet, but the problem is there's no information about what was actually happening. Were they trying to tow it on the freeway? Were they moving it 20 feet? Was it staged? No one seems to know.

I dont know. They do have front wheels sitting right over the axle, so there wouldn't be much tongue weight on the blazer, and it should tow in a straight line, at least below whatever speed causes fishtailing that would be fatal to anyone nearby. You could even stop eventually, But what about turning? Wouldn't you need the RV to be able pivot on the trailer?
I posted the above because it reminds me of these pictures that I took myself back in April 2016. I just pulled over to snap a pic, I never saw the combo actually move.
So, what do you see in this picture?
Now, pan out for the full view.....

Yeah, if they were just trying to get it to the side of the road, I can see it. Hell, they towed a space shuttle with a Tundra. Very slowly, but they did it.

So, what do you see in this picture?
- insufficient straps?
- load rear overhang?
- bed full of even more stuff?
- huge dog inside?

I'm actually pretty impressed at his loading, though. Not compressing the rear of the little truck, so tongue weight must not be too bad. If he's just going a few blocks at slow speeds probably be fine. But nothing more than that.
However, I wouldn't put a dog in the truck, at least if I liked him. At least let him chill in the tow vehicle's bed....
These are just examples of truck owners showing off. There's no reason those rigs couldn't be towed just as well with a Fiat 500. Trucks are big, noisy, stinky, and waste gasoline and contribute to global warming. People who own trucks are ignorant rednecks.
In reply to John Welsh (Moderate Supporter) :
i bet they were taking it for scrap, and the dog could be let out after crossing the scale stealthily adding a hundred pounds to their already 3 ton plus load. Plus zoom in on the s10, it has billet centerlines!
Theres a guy in the neon groups on Facebook that answers every dumbass question "with jesus anything is possible "
Im pretty sure these guys believe that statement. I also believe that there ought to be a common sense test to own a trailer hitch.
I seen a guy towing a full length flatbed trailer with an S10 down I-70 at speed, near Dayton.
With a setup like that you have to say "I seen".
I figure if he had to slow down in a hurry, he should duck.
In reply to SVreX (Forum Supporter) :
based on the rest of his post i gather it's about as tongue in cheek as you can get.
plus i am a responsible truck owner, i burn way less diesel than a comparable truck with a smaller gas engine.
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
I'm pretty sure a comparable truck with a smaller gas engine burns infinitely less Diesel than you do.

Huh. That's a pretty ignorant comment.
Yes, thanks.
