Complete with a headbanging snowman.
I think my neighbors want me to do this next year.
when i was a kid- mid to late 80's some time- we had a box that we could plug the lights into and then plug it into a headphone jack on a walkman or something... my mom always used it for Christmas tunes, but there is no reason why Metallica or SLAYER couldn't be played on it instead..
I haven't seen Slayer before, but I've seen other rock/metal done. My display uses a Top 40/Pop song in it, so kids can hear something they like.
Go to a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert. While it's not thrashing headbang stuff like Slayer, parts of it have a heavy metal sound.

That's because TSO was formed by some former members of the metal band Savatage.
Cool clip. Not as engaging as some of the others (TSO Wizards in Winter, for example), but original, for sure. I'll bet he gets a lot of views.

Please tell me you live across the street from a really uptight board member of a Home Owners' Association

Really? I used to love Savatage. No wonder I can dig on some of the TSO tunes.
Stuff like this finally gives me some Xmas spirit. Can't wait to share with fellow metal heads at work Monday!

Yep. They parlayed it into one of the best gigs in music. Tour for 3 months to sold-out crowds, chill with other stuff for the rest of the year. Brilliant.

that violin player made eye contact with me for a solid 10 seconds the next time she was out on that platform... she just stared at me like she wanted me to explode or something while she was rocking out... i don't know what that was all about, but it was intense...
