I have broken my old record.

5 months 20 days without buying a car or striping one for parts. I have been shafted on at least four clean good deals and looked at so much improperly priced crap. Then in the last two months all the good high end deals disappeared which is my go to. Even hard to find a good Harley that needs minor work for resale now.

I usually do four a year with six being the maximum three years back.

Is it wrong that I am starting to like just having my beat to E36 M3 truck as my only car. I need some medication or something. It did allow me to finish both bathrooms and rebuild a shed and get the garage cleaned out.

I am down to almost no spare's. some prowler front/rear bumpers 3x and two sets of SSR side skirts and a caddi 500 motor in storage.

I've been lookin, but I haven't bought anything in a while. It will be a bit before I am able to drive again, so I guess that helps curb the urge.

I hit a year last month. Down from a high of 37.

15 months.

Might be breaking it soon this summer though.

I'm up to 2 months now. Traded the Taurus for the Jeep. I imagine unless I start buying up f2t parts cars, it will stay that way for a while.

At first, I thought I had went 6 months (when I got the Talon rally car) as that's been absorbing all my time and money and I had a perfectly fine beater daily driver.

Then I realized that my free pickup counts. Transmission is replaced as of this weekend, the legacy might be sold tonight. I grabbed the pickup in January IIRC, so yea... maybe 2 months. I started cruising kijiji the other day as well looking for good deals, it never ends!

Clean since.... Middle of July. Hopefully will stay that way for at least the next 5 years.

You guys must all live in the country or something. I can't deal with more than 3 cars at a time plus the bike (I could make room for more bikes if I really wanted to), so they pretty much all have to be drivers. I generally get the itch about every two years though - July '06 (328i) April '07 (Miata) Oct. '07 (bike) July '10 (S2k) Mar./April '12??

Trust me.... i'm beginning to feel like 5 cars is a pretty bad idea.

2 Yugos in December. Maybe a '79 300TD this month....

11 months, but I'm on the prowl if I don't run out of cash building a vintage racer.

February 25, less than a month. But I'm almost ready to sell. I think I need another motorcycle.

I have been clean 8 months... I usually go years between car purchases.. but recently I have been doing one a year... usually in late august/ early september

Eighteen months for me. But I've put new engines in two of my herd.

I bought my first "new" car in 12 years. I get attached to things.

Clean 41 days.

Been far too long to remember. The herd is still at: the Trooper, the two Jensens, a varying percentage of the LeMons car, half of a Shelby Daytona and the XS650. Once I get this house up and running, it will be time to start sniffing around for a project car/bike.

I keep wanting to build a XR650L dualsport bike next: equip it with some REAL suspension instead of the way too soft jokes Honda used, put it on a serious diet and maybe adapt some CR bodywork.

I got a line on a TR7 'vert and also a couple of X 1/9's for cheap, too. No, I am not telling; I get first right of refusal!

I can't own all the cars i like at once, so I have to own them sequentially. "Clean?" Not till I'm dead.

Looking at bikes right now.

I've bought two new cars in the last two years, and an E30 'vert that's now been traded and the NA miata in the garage back in October.

Tons of parts in teh garage for the NA track build, but can't seem to get motivated to start putting them on.

self-imposed moratorium on dragging new E36 M3 home till the old E36 M3 is gone

It's been a year this month, but that's not to say I wasn't looking... at least that cheap, rust free, notchback, four eyed mustang was sold even before I inquired about it. That was a close one.
