Can the whole lot of them just get locked up? Thanks to Pawn Stars every shiny happy person on Craigslist thinks they're a pro negotiator now.
They went to the house about a sexual assault. What kind of warrant did they have that they could force him to open a safe? Were there drugs in the open that led to probable cause? Not defending the dips**t but there seems to be a lot lacking from this story.

Really. This is Chumlee we are talking about. Toss him a bag of Funyuns and he'd open anything. He probably reeked of weed and had a needle hanging out of his arm and white powder under his nose. He's no rocket surgeon.

My favorite is that before coming to look or even picking up the phone, people now start with "what's the lowest you'll take?" And god help you if you're honest with that number, as you can expect their actual offer to be about half that.
I miss Craigslist ten years ago when you could just ask the price you wanted and negotiate like a normal human being.
^^ times a thousand.
I hate that line with a passion like no other. I don't care what I am selling, if someone starts out with "What is the lowest you'll take?" or something to that effect, my item is no longer for sale... to the one that asks that question.

Oh, God yes. It's everywhere. I love getting that question before they've even looked at the item. I usually counter with something to the effect of "I'm willing to negotiate, but why don't you take a look at it first."

I don't know why immigration would be part of the problem. My dealings with the local Latino community have actually been much more straightforward and honest than my experience with the average cheap-ass white guy, who shows up acting like he deserves a deal for some kind of perceived inconvenience I subjected him to.
My experience as well. Maybe we met the ones that haven't become fully Americanized yet, you know, become shiny happy people.
There was a guy at work who got busted with drugs last night, fired on the spot and walked out...after working there for 25 years.
Way to go, dumbass.

They had a search warrant.

My response to that is always "what's the most you would pay?". Lowballers are usually silenced and everyone else at least comes up with an offer.
