I was up... but since BBCA was re-running Top Gear all night while I was working on a project I totally lost track of time...
I think Conan is great. The Tonight show got the jokes turned down for the AARP crowd; hopefully now that he has his "own" show they'll be able to really crank up the jokes past Late Night's levels. I love the wackiness: Preparation H Guy, Masterbating Bear, Pimp Bot, In the Year 2000/3000....

You'll never see those skits again, most likely. NBC owns them as intellectual property. The only one that stands a chance is Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and that's still up in the air.
Conan is awesome.. he wasn't really given enough time to find his place on the Tonight Show- and his hands were pretty tied by the network as far as what he was able to do.
what were Leno's ratings like when he first took over from Carson? i believe that they were way, way low for a couple of years until Letterman really started to suck and people tuned into Leno because the only other alternative on the 3 major networks besides Letterman was Ted Koppel on Nightline..
In college, my roommates and I would watch the Connan rebroadcast everyday around noon while we ate lunch, and we all thought he was pretty damn funny.
I watched Monday's show on demand last night, and it was good, I just don't know if I'll be watching it all the time, and on demand doesn't help with ratings.
Never cared for Conan on the air.. but he is damn funny in person. He is also VERY tall and his hair is really that red.
Watching Tom Hanks having water dumped on him was SOOOOO funny last night, and SOOOOO original, and so, click there went the remote. Ferguson is the best of all of the late night guys.
