Militarily speaking, does that mean that one Deuce and a Half truck would be needed to carry a small unit crate? Brochure makes a statement of a "design life of over 10 years" but does not expand on this statement. I expect that means 10 years standing and not 10 years in the crate?
The old M35 Deuce, IIRC, is rated to 5000lbs off road and 10000 on road, and is known to do double that. I'm sure the current stuff is just as capable.

The MTVR (USMC "medium" truck) is rated at either 6 or 7 tons off-road.

This way you can be pretty much guaranteed to get full-thickness saturation (if you fill up the bag). If you're just spraying it, you will miss spots, and not get a full soak in other areas.

Thought: If this is used in a disaster area, as suggested, they wouldn't want to use up potable water. But if they used nasty water, wouldn't that create a health hazard?

As an alternative, there are inflatable tents which can be sprayed with foam, creating a nicely insulated structure.

The interior is sealed enough that it can be made sterile, so the exterior isn't going to be critical. If you have access to sea water or ditch water, it isn't necessarily "nasty". Just not potable. It might not work in every single situation, but it'll work in more situations than nothing at all.

holy cow that's cool. I'm thinking cabin in the mountains. If you've got a full size truck, a trailer, a gas generator for water and air pump, you can put one of those near any stream, lake, pond....wow.

Make one a little wider and shorter with a garage door, and I'm game!
