Cool phone cases?

I had a neat phone case with my iPhone 4 but just upgraded to a 5S. I found, what I think, is a super-cool case but it doesn't protect the screen.
I don't want anything bulky that turns my pocket inside-out when I pull my phone out. I'd like something unique, especially something car related. I'm thinking about a tire-tread design, or a wood case. Any suggestions?

8380 had some cool ones, not sure if they still do. I ended up with a 908 on mine.

I had a tire tread case for my 3, but it turned my pocket inside out. Had an Otterbox for my 4, which was an awesome case, but it doubled the size of the phone and turned my pockets inside out.

My favorite was a Billet aluminum case for the 4. I haven't been able to find one for my 5s though. I'm using this now-

My brother in law has one with a bottle opener that slides out of it.

I carry mine in a Lunatik Taktik Extreme case. It's a bit bigger but pretty much indestructible and much nicer than I've seen anywhere else. I like the impact truss in particular. Plus it has great sound quality.

No theme or anything, just a phone that won't take damage.

What kind of screen protection are you looking for?

I like the factory one, as the case stands barely proud of the screen. So if struck on the face the case would stop it.

I have this exact case for a galaxy s3. Considering the cheap buy in cost I really like it a lot. Never really felt I needed more protection. When not out the phone is almost always in my front right pocket with the screen facing my leg.

The rubberized edges are just hard enough that they don't turn your pocket inside out.

That's pretty much all the screen protection I need. I like to set my phone face-down. That way, if something drops on it, the screen wont break. The small lip prevents scratching.
I tend to take very good care of my stuff, so that works for me.

I take care of my stuff too - haven't damaged a phone since I started carrying one about 15 years ago. But I spend a lot of my time in environments that are very hazardous to high tech. So if my phone is in a case, it's for more than fashion.

I had that for my 4. I loved it. It fits a bit loose, but it was cool. I can't count the number of compliments I got with that case. they have it for the 5, but I want something different, and the 5 is longer that the proportions are off haha.

I use this:

Incipio Stashback. They make lots of cool cases, and a few options with storage and batteries. I carry my ATM card, ID and Visa with me everywhere and no longer have a wallet.

Cafepress will make you a case with anything you want on it. You can just upload a pic.

As for me, I just got an LG G3. It's a large phone, so I'm using the absolute thinnest case I could find (Spigen Ultra Fit) so I add the minimum amount of bulk.

I ordered a OtterBox Commuter w/ my Galaxy S5. While it might offer protection, it's slippery as all hell, so WTF good is dat.

Good God that's got to be an expensive case

When I got my Samsung Galaxy S3 a year ago, I was going to buy an OtterBox until I saw the price tag. SWMBO got the same phone, so she went to Five Below and picked up a couple cases for $5 each. Mine has a plastic "sandwich" that goes over the phone, and a rubber skin that goes over that. It has a kickstand and rubber covers for the jacks. The kickstand broke the other day, but the case has saved my phone many times. It does bulk up the phone quite a bit, but that doesn't bother me.

I got mine at Amazon (from Amazon LLC directly), and it's a legit one and not a knockoff. Brilliant piece of work, much nicer than some of the other protection cases I tried. My only complaint was some "oil slick" colors on the screen until I removed the stick-on screen protector I had on the phone. Now the screen looks like it did when the phone first came out of the box.

Why would the S be almost twice the price of the 5?
