I didn't get much sleep last night, so this might be a question that is simple to answer, but is beyond my currently addled brain.
Sitting in a work meeting that doesn't require me to do anything other than be present, I'm cruising through copart. I found a vehicle that says it can't be repaired, and is being sold as parts only.
Huh?
What exactly does that mean? It shows only minor scratches and dents, and from the picture that looks accurate. What am I missing?
This is a guess, but probably something to do with the title. Different states use different systems for crashed cars, and I believe some of them will mark a car as "unrepairable" meaning that you can't ever register a car with that VIN again.
I have no idea why that would happen with a car marked for minor dents & scratches.
Title code says, CO(lorado)-Bill of Sale
They are not giving you a title and expect there is no way to get one. But, it's good for parts.
Treat it as a parts car and bid accordingly. The insurance company totaled my daughters car with no visible damage on the outside other than a small crack in the front facia. The curb she hit moved the front subframe and engine cradle back over a foot. Couldn't tell by just looking at the car, until you got underneath and saw the carnage.

Not sure. Was just window, er, monitor shopping. I'm close enough to the tampa and miami locations to get me in trouble. If I do get in trouble, I'll notify this sick group of guys and girls.
