Does anybody rotate streaming services?
I'm finding that I'm getting pretty bored with what Netflix has to offer if I keep it for longer than a few months. I tend to watch the stuff I want to watch then go on a "no watch" spree for a few months. More recently my wife has found that she pretty much has no interest in 90% of movies on Netflix, and much prefers older series on Amazon Prime, which we get with free shipping.
I've though about bouncing back and forth between Amazon + Netflix and Amazon + Hulu. Maybe throw in some PBS Access Pass.
Anybody else do this?
We quit Hulu for a while but then when back to it. So far it has has kept us entertained this go around.
Also, YouTube plus our AppleTV provides hours of entertainment. I don't really watch anything on Netflix but my wife does.
We are on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. T-Mobile also gives a free rental on Tuesdays, so that has become movie night.
We are all big readers, kids included, so many nights it's off.
Whoa. I need to look into this tmobile free rental tuesday.
Good topic...we are kinda bored of netflix at the moment. We have sling tv and amazon prime that we use much more regularly.
I watch more Amazon than I do Netflix.

Netflix is where bad movies go to die. It's all I watch.

Is the Amazon Prime user interface anything but abysmal yet?
Yeah, I drop Netflix occasionally. If you don't wait too long, all of your preferences are still available when you restart the service.
For a while, I would get Netflix for a month to watch the latest season of House of Cards and then drop the service. They've had some pretty good content on lately, though, so I've kept them.

Absolutely sucks on my tablet, isn't terrible on the tv, still haven't tried it on xbox.
If they'd quit mixing things you need to rent with things included with prime, I'd be a happy boy.
I finally signed up for Netflix again, but after 3 days I was out of stuff to watch. Again.

On the website and on my Roku, you can quickly and easily filter by Prime or free w/ads, etc.

I've tried it on my TV and previously on my PS3. The interface is terrible in both places.
Mixing stuff sucks. Its not intuitive. You have to drill down through way too many menus to get basic info. Its slow as hell.
It reminds me of Gran Turismo
We use Netflix and Hulu for pay services. I rarely watch movies on Netflix anymore, its been mostly TV shows. We are burning through lots of BBC cop shows at the moment.
We use Netflix and Amazon Prime as staples.
We are trying out Hulu now, and despite it having more recent shows, I don't see the point of it. I have to pay $8 with commercials or $12 without or $40 for live TV.
I don't see it being worth it.

We have Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. All 3 are still cheaper than cable and all the stuff we want to watch. Amazon for newish movies, Netflix for just about anything short of current shows, which is where Hulu jumps in.
Just to confuse things, Vudu now has free movies with ads.
There's no downside really, I usually only have netflix for about 3 months/year.

To me, Hulu is the closest thing to traditional TV, only its like $8 instead of $50 or whatever my cable company charges. I think it has a great interface, and is probably the most watched thing for us. Also, since its showing a lot of shows as they are released, it minimizes binge watching.
We split all of our streaming accounts with other family members, so the cost is pretty low really.

I don't like traditional TV. I don't like paying money for people to sell me stuff (commercials).
You want commercials, you give me free content. I want no commercials, I pay for content.
Call me old fashioned.
This might be a good place to say that I wish Amazon's show Bosch was better.
I watched season one and it was good. Not great but good.
I saw season three was out which made me happy but when I started watching three I realized I had not finished two. Seems that two didn't hold my interest enough to finish and three is doing the same.
It would seem to be a show I would like and I'm not sure why I don't.

I got sling, then dropped it when I realized i just quit watching tv when I couldn't just plop down and hit one button and find something mind numbing to watch. I get so much stuff done now that cable is cut that it's scary.
