I got my notice from work (healthcare organization) that I'm eligible now. However, the whole family has already had it recently and I work from home mostly.
My dose can go to someone more in need and higher risk.

Money can eliminate barriers yes, but it can also encourage deceit.
Sorry if this is too off topic. I listened to couple shows, read some articles, and spoke with various people in my group that are nurses in few different towns.
Some doctors are starting to prescribe various meds with people that are positive with Covid and sending them home with good results. Seems a cocktail of ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, zithromycin, regeneron, and antibody transfusions works great. Been advised by my medical friends this helps tremendously with the virus. Just wanted to share

I don't look on here too often, so pardon if this question has been addressed. But legit. question. What does "superspreaders" mean? and how would one self identify?
Fortunately, I'm still not in any form of high risk environment, so I still do not need the vaccine. Since I don't look on here very often, due only to a few that are allowed to be azzhats, Has there been any new information out on the vaccine? The last couple of pages are just the same old same old, from the same folks.
Any feed back from the folks that do need the vaccine, and have taken it?
I know that question does not meet the OP's original question, but it is a legit. question, and not outside what is discussed.

It's interesting to me that recent MMR vaccine/booster has a positive effect on COVID symptoms, mainly because last year (maybe 2 years ago) the doc realized that I never got the booster that i was supposed to get at 20, so I got it fairly recently...

I'm certain there will be unintended consequences. Doesn't mean I won't try.
If you and 10 of your friends....
I combined two of your posts, to ask a serious question, and a silly one
Are you thinking of anything specific when you mention "unintended consequences"?
Also... shouldnt the be "you and 200 of you friends... " for an acurite comparison?

I've heard that also, sorry ban me for going off topic again.. There needs to be more talk of preventative care we all can take and what works if we catch the virus, how to beat it, instead of the doom and gloom, get a shot and hide in your house until this is over.

If someone has a better flame suit than me, I would love to see them start that thread. Or just include it here... It is closer to the Op's topic than most that has been typed!
I am taking additional vitamin D for the immune system, especially since I have been working nights.

This won't be over until a majority of Americans get vaccinated (or antibodies).

Preventative care:
1) Don't have any preexisting conditions
2) Don't get exposed to virus
3) Get vaccinated
What to do if you get it:
1) Try to keep breathing and not die

I am sorry if I am not answering someone else's question correctly, but this is what I got from that.
To me superspreader was used to describe someone that has contact with many people and is out and about. Usually a younger person that might be asymptomatic or have very light symptoms, therefore not even knowing he is spreading it around. I would say age does not determine whether you are a superspreader or not, but usually the older you are the more chances are you have a worse case of covid.
Again, maybe I am way off but that was how I took it.

At what point do you get these medications? Would that be prescribed to you as soon as you are positive, while you are home, or once you are feeling real bad and head to the hospital?
My sister in law has it and is having a rough time with it. Not to the point of not being able to breathe, or go to the hospital but not not well. My brother and his kids are perfectly fine, zero symptoms. He is 39, she is 36.
Should I tell my brother to bounce this off of his family doctor or its not worth unless she goes to the hospital?

From my understanding your best bet is your primary dr or a teledoc, ask for them or the best recommendation. Most of these drugs are readily available.

If a person had control over 1), and 2), then wouldn't 3) be unnecessary, by the very definition of your preventative care suggestions?

Same can be said for any virus. And all Americans getting vaccinated is going to be long time. I'm not denying the virus, or people getting vaccinated. All I'm trying to say is there is alternatives to help prevent the virus, and help fight it when you do catch it.

Another night worker taking vitamin D supplement here, along with zinc. As I previously stated, most of the people I work with have caught it already. I have not.
I'm not trying to start fights/arguments over this, nor get this thread locked because this isn't the narrative of the original question. Or because the word conservative gets dropped. I feel we need these kind of open discussions to understand peoples opinions

Add another to that. Although I am almost alone on nights, so I have not really been exposed to the folks that have had it.
