My grandfather had a limited education and and worked for Sears as a warehouse order picker in Chicago from 1936 until a heart attack dropped him in 1963. Sears paid his pension and stock to my grandmother and she lived on the dividends until 1982.

Her total value in 1963 was close to $136,000 or in 2024 dollars she walked away with close to $1.4 million? 

Are these Amazon order pickers doing this well?
