Got sick Tuesday and tested Wednesday. Positive notification yesterday. Still not feeling great, but at this point I seem to be getting better. Temp is normal this morning. It looks as though  the worst part is the self quarantine for 6 more days. I have had 2 shots of the Moderna, so I hope that that has lessened the severity.

Glad to hear you are vaccinated.  Sounds like your case is pretty mild, like mine was, though mine predated vaccines.

I hope you continue to feel better.

Stay well, keep hydrated.  I had symptoms 11/8, tested positive 11/9, and felt quite poopy for a solid 2-3 days before feeling better.  Cough lingered for a few weeks, as did metric tons of the grossest, greenest snots needing evacuation every morning.  1 day of fever, and total taste/smell loss for about 10 days, which was very unnerving.  Also vaxxed here, thankful that I think it sped up the recovery process.

I spent a lot of my Quarantine driving while listening to sports talk radio just to give me a break from the 4 walls of my home feeling like a prison.  I do not do well cooped up, haha.

+10,000 on staying hydrated. Hot showers help evacuation the system of mucus as well which lessens environment and lessens chest congestion. Even if your chest is clear, do it early, do it often.

Mrs Jav, myself, my dad, and his wife all got breakthrough COVID in August. All fully vaccinated with pfizer. Varying degrees of sickness but we did all recover. My folks needed the pnuemonococcal treatment (dad just beat cancer and step mom is late 70s).

I'm berking terrified of this virus. Lost a great uncle plus everyone here all the way back to Wally's dad.

Get well soon! My fiance caught it last year, she has an autoimmune disease as well.

She was in bed for a solid two weeks. I had to wake her every few hours to make sure she was eating and staying hydrated.

I have had my booster but  there is still a lot of Covid around  which scares me.....

In reply to californiamilleghia :

Unless you're in a high risk category don't be scared. First time around for me was a lot worse than this time and there are a lot of good procedures and information this time around to make it go easier for me.

good advice in this thread. Stay hydrated, take it easy, and you'll likely be just fine.

I'm a nurse working in a hospital that's currently over capacity, and about 1/4 of our patients are here because of covid.  Vaccination is the biggest differentiator among how our patients are doing - about 80% are unvaccinated, and all the ventilated ones are unvaccinated. Those that are vaccinated have significant risk factors like being immunocompromised. Only about half of the unvaccinated have significant risk factors.

Tl/dr: get vaccinated and you'll be fine.

And try to stay out of the hospital right now if you're in Michigan. It's really bad - like non-covid patients in the hallways and in triage rooms for days bad.
