This for a website I am trying to build. Sorta out of my skill set but always wanting to learn and pursue new goals. I am LQQking for anyone with Craft Cms knowledge to help me get started. This site is basically what I am going for as an example. Want my site to function and LQQK like this Serious about giving free cars to anyone that can help me jumpstart this project. We need a push in the right direction as we are striving to make our Magazine and web presence as strong as we can. Thanks Karl
I bet you could DIY a site that looks similar to that with Squarespace or Wordpress, if it's just for serving pics, info etc. I could do something like this very easily but I'm already busy with side jobs.
Stop off, see Karl and get a pic with his sign. Just be careful trying to fit it on instagram. My wife thought she was fun.
I don't know craft cms but I do love some me some free british car.
Have you looked into doing a wordpress page and buying a theme from themeforest or something similar? Every website I've done (maybe 3 or 4, all for small business/church and none excellent by any stretch) I've done that way.
If you are willing to spend $40 at themeforest, you can absolutely find a theme just like the one you linked. Then you simply fill in your own photos and words. If I was in your area I'd come to your house and eat tacos and drink beer over your shoulder while you made the website in the morning and then we could spend the afternoon looking for manatees.
My point is that you CAN do this and you CAN figure it out. The resources exist on youtube/google search. First find out how to get wordpress running on your site (probably log into your hosting service account and click 'install wordpress') and then go to themeforest and find a theme that looks like the one you want. Buy, install, upload photos, done.
I've never tried WIX or one of the other even more DIY friendly (as advertised) website creators, but they may be even easier if a bit more expensive.
Craft Cms is where I want to be on this project and I just want to position myself for greatness with that type site. We are a tourist based Magazine and Web Site to promote Living like A Local. 300 clams for Craft Cms platform just gonna throw it out there.
You'll need to log in to post.
