So a month ago I found a truck on CL i wanted to look at, but there was no contact info anywhere. Nothing to click, nothing written, etc. A week later a box popped up in the ad,
"No contact info?
if the poster didn't include a phone number, email, or
other contact info, craigslist can notify them via email. {click here}
So I clicked and watched the ad, nothing. Clicked a few more times, nothing.
The poster must be watching it, the price was just lowered but still no contact info. Ideas?

You can use the note function on the bottom of the page to have them add the contact info but other then that your hosed.
Long shot, but use the google map, go there, and drive around until you see it.

This.
Though if you did that with my ads, you'd end up in a Kroger parking lot about a mile from my house. Because meth heads read Craigslist too.

Depends how CL found the map. If the seller only put in a ZIP code, it could be pretty random.

Google image search doesn't have the pictures anywhere else. No luck on searching for sections of the copy either.

I tried using google satellite to find something with a white picket fence, a longish driveway with a stone marker, trees in between houses, two lane road, using google maps and couldn't find it.

That's odd... the last time I posted a CL add, it forced me to enter an email. Clicking on the link in the confirmation email was the only way to actually post and edit the ad. Did something change with the website or is there simply a design flaw I didn't notice that makes this scenario possible?

Last time I did it (years ago), you needed an email to post, but were not required to have the email as a contact method.
I clicked the thing that is supposed to tell the seller that there is no contact info. It seemed to work as it went to a new page saying the poster was being notified and to check back later
