So close to getting rid of it, damn.
I'll start a minimum wage/global warming thread, someone will be sure to earn it there
Holy crap your right I never noticed before. Global warming has increased oposite the decrease in inflation adjusted minimum wage. The causal factor is to strong to ignore. Since the 60's federal minimum wage adjusted for inflation has fallen
While global temperature has risen.
It's irrefutable.

I worked for my F-I-L for 6 months in his meat market and never heard of a hanger steak. Is it the same as a skirt steak? In my defence, most of the beef they sold came in in boxes. They broke down little beef.
It's near the skirt, but not the same piece. Incredible flavor. Stop by sometime and I'll make you some.
Looks like the hanger steak is the inside and the skirt steak is the outside. We had to get them for the owner of a really good mexican restaurant up the road.
Yep, there's a place here in town that uses it for their Arrachera. I always order it, even though I cannot roll my r's and thus sound like a complete idiot. It's that good.

This all sounds vaguely erotic to me. Are you people talking in code?

I love this place, I’ve spent way too much of my hard earned life here, but recently it’s getting me down.
This used to be a place for ideas, inspiration, learning, but I see a worrying trend of intolerance growing and growing from all sides. We used to be able to discuss anything outside of guns, religion and abortion with a reasonable amount of tolerance, humor and acceptance. That seems to be diminishing and almost everything out side of the build projects forum seems to end up with people slinging arrows even when hidden under the guise of humor.
So, not that anyone cares, but I’m making a conscious effort to step away for a bit. I hope this perception is my mistake and not reality, I’d hate to see this little corner of web utopia go the way of so many other once great places to hang out.
Ciao for now chaps and chapets, I'm logging off.
Adrian, I hope you're really taking a total sabbatical and not sneaking peeks at what's happened to your (originally sincere) thread, because if you are, I'm afraid you'll never come back.

I can see it now, he hit's the of topic button a month from now and sees this thing is still the first thread on the page and is 32 pages long, and he's just like "berkeley it" and turn off the computer and goes out and works on a car.

Steak Update: neither Kings or safeway had one I asked. Tomorrow I'm going to try the kosher butcher across town.
Well, it’s only been six days, but I realized I needed to come back to talk about the Dream cruise and BBQ, I was going to sneak back as I didn’t think anyone would notice I’d gone. I also got a PM from someone which helped nudge me back. I intended to be away longer, but the dream cruise is only 10 days out and I’d promised people beer and BBQ and don’t want to renege.
I started this thread then logged off cutting the cord until 15 mins ago. I was amazed that this thread was still near the top so I’ve just caught up. I didn’t not expect this to be going 5 pages and a week later, I expected a couple of ‘Man up’ posts or ‘you’re a shiny happy persons’ posts. Pretty much XD was the only person to go there, and BTW XD, I do happen to inject myself with Testosterone every week per docs orders, so my testosterone is exactly spot on for where it should be, not high or low. My reasons for leaving weren’t just political threads, it seems that there’s been a general decline in civility in all threads. Differing points of view are healthy. You lot know I’m (by the standards of this country) very left leaning and anti-organized religion. some of my closest friends who we see regularly, go on vacation with, help each other out all the time are strong Catholics. Another of my very close friends, the guy who brewed the beer for the dream cruise party, is a strong libertarian. I love these people, I strongly disagree with their politics and religious beliefs, but I can debate with them respectfully. Having diametrically opposing beliefs or views doesn’t need to lead to bad mouthing, name calling belittling. There is a big difference between ‘over sensitive, not keeping score in T ball, helicopter parent, everyone’s a winner’ mentality and a civil discourse without offending. Have I crossed the line here in the past? Yes, I’m just as much a hypocrite as the rest of us, but when I make fun of Texas for example, I do it as TexASS with a big old smiley face to show it’s a joke.
OK, I’ve climbed down off my high horse, had a plate of humble pie for breakfast and now it’s back to business as usual right after I change my avatar back to Danger Mouse and Penfold.
I’ve spent most of my recent internet time reading about flying, Cessna 172 ownership and ongoing costs etc. and decided I can’t afford that right now. Also expect questions on 944 S2’s Vs 986’s soon.
Adrian back in.
E36 M3, i've taken longer poops than that sabbatical.
2/10 return post. Did not +1
I bet Margie asked him to come back so this thread would die.

Doesnt the totem pole go something like the only thing more expensive than a cheap Porsche is a cheap Lotus or something? At least that's why I stay away from P-cars.
Between the two, can't beat a 'vert, even if you cant get at the engine. (he says based on no personal experience)

Welcome back, but I'm not sure if we are allowed to post in this thread.

You can get a 944S2 vert, that way you can drop the top and get at the engine, even at the same time .
Oh, and welcome back, Adrian.

I hear ya. The board has changed. I enjoy coming here, but not as much as I used to, and not as often as I used to.

Good.
I thought I felt something tingle near the base of my neck this morning. It was a weird sensation. I ignored it for a while but it just kept on nagging me. Then, out of nowhere, I had a thought. Was it the force? Is it getting stronger? Could it really be? Is he back?
Grab my phone and sure enough he's back. The world is a better place today.
got this while you where gone solid floors needs rear end #rubberbumpermidget
Glad to have you back on board
