this has been a let down, until episode 8.
WOW! Vincent D'onofrio is impressive. It's like the previous 8 episodes were just a collection of bread crumbs leading up to this moment.
Push through the first 7, just to watch 8.

Watching D'onofrio left me thinking "Who's channeling Brando now?"
We finished the first season last week, and enjoyed it. A lot better than the Afflek movie. I kept waiting, and waiting for him to finally get his red suit. Vincent D'Onofrio does a really good bad guy.

I agree. Hopefully season 2 will be better overall. Supposedly they are going to do Electra for that season.
I liked it. There was some necessary plot development but i think it's gonna shape up to be a good show.
I've seen it pop up on my "Trending" and "Recently Added", but haven't commited. Might have to give it a go.
I just got to the episode where the reporter and the hot redhead go to the nursing home. It's picking up steam but the first 6 episodes were like watching grass grow. I hung with it because of the 1st post in this thread.
It did start slow, but it finished pretty good.
It takes a lot for somebody to break out of their best known role in my head, but Vincent D'Onofrio is no longer Private Pyle to me, he's the Kingpin.
Great show, would watch again...
In all seriousness, probably some of the best fight sequences outside of hi budget movies I've seen, ever
They've got to work on the mask. The suit is good, but the mask looks goofy.
I didn't particularly care for Kingpin's fighting style, and Donofrio does not seem like the bulky muscular hulk that the comics portrayed.
Felt like the dialogue dropped off a bit towards the end. We'll see how next season goes.
Made it through 7 and 8. Not sure I follow why #8 is significant. The show still seems dull to me.

Really? I can't stand it. Why are there so many cartwheels/flips/twirling? It looks more like dancing than fighting most of the time.
Am I a bad person if I like the pieced together ninja/Zorro look better than the suit?
Oh, and I watch it for the fight scenes. Holy E36 M3 I could watch the hallway scene all DAY.
In reply to EastCoastMojo:
Nope, I kept wanting the red suit and then it got there and I missed the black one
