This is the worst I've felt in recent memory.
That is all.
Ok now that is all.
Unfortunately you have a few miserable days ahead of you. I was diagnosed with pneumonia today, but in comparison I think the flu is worse. Good luck.
I'll find out tomorrow if it's actually flu or not. I've actually been starving most of the day but I definitely have a fever.
Dude, just got over the worst head cold (plugged nose, huge headache, cough). I feel for ya man. Grab a bottle of bourbon and use the excuse to make some boilo
After watching the "bug" creep through the office, I finally have succumbed to a sore throat, headache, dry cough thing. It doesn't feel like the flu so far, but I am running a low grade fever, and my stomach is unhappy yet I am also ravenously hungry. Luckily I can work from home and not use up a sick day tomorrow.
My whole office is down with it. It's a nasty one this year. They all have kids and children are vectors.
I think I wasn't hit with it earlier because while I do work in a cube farm, I just happen to sit in the middle of a little pocket of coworkers who don't have kids.
I woke up one night feeling a bit queasy... spent the rest of the night on the bathroom floor. Suffice it to say, there was jet-propelled expulsion from both ends. Miserable virus.
There is a really bad strain going around this year that isn't a part of the normal flu strain. My wife gets sick all the time because her immune system sucks. She's actually scared of it because a friend of a friend who was only 28 died from it yesterday.
Everyone take care and take the necessary precautions.
Whatever it is, I have had it for the last week and a half. Not sure if I should be happy or disappointed that it coincided with 8 days I had already scheduled off over a 2 week span.
I called in sick on monday because I was hacking up a storm, only to come in on tuesday and hear the entire office doing the same thing
Now my wife is starting to catch whatever it is.
Had it back in '09 when everyone was in a panic. I don't envy you. I'm scared that my wife is coming down with it. This could be very, very difficult with two kids.
peel and thinly slice a generous palm full of fresh ginger, zest a citrus fruit of your choice, and add 10 cinnamon sticks to 2 qts of boiling water in a 4 qt pot. reduce to simmer for 40 minutes. add 2 teaspoons of honey per a cup when serving hot.
the drink is intense, not unpleasant, but intense, you'll be comfortable and able to breathe for 6-8 hours and you'll get over it a lot quicker.

My whole family just went thru this. It sucked big time. I was the sickest out of the 5. Took me two weeks to recover. My wife and little son had it for a couple days. My little daughter had it for 2 days but she was the only one to vomit. My baby girl had NASTY diapers for a week (full box from Costco gone just like that!). berkeleying E36 M3, I swear the CDC/government has the cure but won't use it so they can cull humanity every fricking year.
