Dave Grohl is one of the few famous people that i would like to meet. Everything he does is gold..
I always like the Foos, but i got hooked when i watched the Wembley concert on VH1 Classic in 2010 or so.. the energy and fun that he brought to the whole show was infectious, and the way they played "The Best of You" was just absolutely intense.. you could tell that was the moment when Dave knew he made it as a rock star when he damn near broke down on stage and the drummer (Taylor Hawkins) looked genuinely concerned for him..
"Sound City" was great! I loved the banter with Paul McCartney:
Dave: "Why can't it always be this easy?"
Paul: "It is."
In reply to cwh:

I loved that for about a week, now I can't even listen to it.
I'll take another Them Crooked Vultures album please
You mean this Van?
Here it is sitting next to Rick Springfields Mod-Vette
I work for Dave and the Fellas at the Studio 606 doing odd jobs and filling in where needed.
A couple of you have asked for some swag, The Probot CDs are no problem, I have 8 pallets of them to give away, Them Crooked Vulture stuff is unobtanium.
I have a lot of crew shirts from the last tour to give away too.
If anyone wants some swag just drop me a DM here, I wont ask anything for the stuff just the shipping.
Another shot of the Van when it was at the Fathers Day show in Pomona just after it was finished.
In reply to MulletTruck:
Bring it to the challenge at the end of the month

Rick may have missed out on Jessie's girl, but that's ok - he's better off with the Vette anyway.

Lower maintenance, more grins for a longer time. Wise choice

That Vette is pretty nice. One of the first rebody done right. First time i saw it i thought it had a chopped top. Closer look i figured it out. They made the body wider to fit the new vette chassis.
Everyones packages went out this weekend, Should see them in a couple days.I have the tracking numbers if anyone has a problem.

That's OK. With that car, he could get Stacy's mom, She's got it going on.
Dave Grohl is my hero. No pun intended. He was a HUGE influence on me growing up. I started my musical life off as a drummer, and after hearing about how he single-handedly played all the parts on the first Foo Fighters record, it "made it OK" in my head for me to learn stringed instruments. I picked up a bass and a 6-string and the rest is history. Later in my musical life, I was able to write a lot of the bass parts for my old band's material. Dave is and always will be one of my favorite musicians because of that!
Mr. MulletTruck, I may take you up on your offer. PM Sent!

For those who may have missed it, Here is the Keynote speech Dave gave when we were in Austin a couple years ago for South By Southwest.

Thank you. You have renewed my faith in mankind. I was afraid I was a miserable failure.

Wait, WHAT?! Probot was an awesome album, why are there so many just sitting around? I know "Shake Your Blood" was the main track people heard, but I love "Sweet Dreams" a little more.
In fact, I'm listening to it on Amazon Prime right now. Hmm, I may have just answered my own question...
The CD manufacturer screwed up and doubled the order.
With the advent of digital downloads the physical album is no longer in style. Soon there will be no album to hold in your hands, It is going to be a coupon to download the album.
Want a case of probot CDs?
