When I saw title that said "dog subdues suspect". I was hoping it was the discovery channel bounty hunter. True story.
As a PA resident about an hour away from where this happened, I am delighted the fugitive has some dog bite souveniers.
As a first responder, I have to go to police lockup (holding cell) all the time for medical calls.
One night we responded for a dog bite. The customer, who had been running away from the police, had a huge chunk missing from his lower leg and needed to go to the hospital asap. .
I asked the cop where the missing piece of muscle was, as there's always a chance that the surgeons can reattach it at the hospital.
The cop cringed and quietly said, "I think the dog ate it..."

My son had one of those.
You didn't want to get on the wrong side of that dog.

He may have been sleep-walking. Or sleep-eluding the police.
