So, you guys all move the sun around now, right? I'm quite glad we don't try to defy the laws of nature around here. Sounds tough.

I really wish we wouldn't do anything about it. Either leave it one way or the other, or switch it to 30 minutes and leave it forever. In the summer, it is light when I wake up and often light when I go to bed. In the winter, it is dark when I wake up, and often dark when I leave work. What the hell difference does it make? The Farmers will farm farm when it is light, so that argument is gone.

I love it …just not so happy with the change over … 2 1/2 hr dr to an a-x this morning .. so instead of 4:15 alarm, it's (for all intents and purposes) 3:15

This. I don't get it either. Who gives a E36 M3 what time it is when the sun comes up or down. A farmer is gonna wake up when the rooster calls anyways.

Daylight savings time is so stupid.

What happens in the fall? I'll bet no one works 25 and gets paid for 24.

Complaining ain't much good, it's their sandbox and they make the rules.

One good thing when adjusting the time is bumping the hour up only one click on a digital instead of going all the way through AM/PM to fall back. Still gotta turn the hour hand w/ an analog.

I know... it's minimal.

I like DST. Why? Because I like it being light at 8PM at night in the summer, rather than having a useless hour of daylight in the morning before everyone wakes up.

Alas, we always seem to wind up with an autox scheduled on DST morning, with me in the morning rungroups. Getting up at effectively 4:30 AM is brutal to me.

DST was originally implemented in Germany during WWI, as an energy saving initiative.

Now it gives people that work a traditional 9-5 day an extra hour of daylight beyond their work hours.

I understand the extra hour at night in the summer... soooo, why don't we just leave it at that time?

I don't mind DST; I just hate the week or two of dislocation. Leave it one way or the damn other.

Somewhere or other I read that heart attacks peak at Christmas and at DST.
