Ed Emberley taught us how to draw bats and bikes, trains and toads. My brother and I had all the books. You know, they might be boxed up somewhere.

He’s 92 and still out there. A recent Instagram posts mention dementia yet is still drawing. I need to look for those books....

I cannot upvote this post enough. I not only wore my Ed Emberly books out as a kid, we bought a set for our daughters.

They're awesome.

I've never seen/heard of those books before. Might be fun to get some for my kid now that she's able to make "art."

Before my time? I haven't ever heard of that before.

You know who *I* recall? Captain Mark and the Draw Squad!

"shade shade shade, we love to shaaade"

He came to our school one time - a real life TV star!

I had the animals one and this one:

There was a monsters one, too.  I may have had that but I can't remember.

Not me. My mom watched Jon Gnagy on TV as a kid and every Christmas when I was young I got a new learn to draw set. I still have a few of the drawings I did.
