So I'm likely doing a 48 hour pit stop at PRI next month and haven't been since it was in Orlando. I'll be quite busy while at the show, but was wondering a) what spots are worth checking out for dinner and b) who else will be there and would be interested in grabbing dinner, maybe have a GRM dinner (I may have a Tudor and or WEC contact with me as well).
I'll be there, I don't know what the dinner schedule is, but I'd be happy to grab a beer with some grmers once we figure out dates and times
I'll be there as well. Not sure on schedule either. I'm working most of the show.

I'm looking at going to PRI for the first time, so I may be there. I'll probably drive up from Atlanta.
I'm already registered, but I forgot to put in for the time off eariler so I have to hope I can get the time off now.
budgetwise I'm good with whatever everyone else is good with. I'd be up for a beer or 2 as well, but will likely be making it a fairly early night.
And for us ignorant types: what praytell is PRI? Public Radio International?

I'll be there - stop by booth 3359 and say hi!
Anybody want to meet outside the ballroom Thursday for the opening breakfast? It'd be cool to sit with like minded company instead of by myself. My creds showed up today!
In reply to moparman76_69:
I'd be up for that!
I'll double check when I'll be getting in, if it's early enough Thursday I'll be up for that as well.
I went last year and it was awesome should be more so this year with snake and mongoose.
IIRC, there's a great pizza place walking distance from the show.

I went last year for the first time, registered again. But I probably will be there early and leave early.
Y'all should get this planned out so us Indy locals can come hang out
If anyone is down to meet up at 8AM on Thursday for the breakfast PM me through the forum I can give you guys my cell. I'd be down for a dinner Friday or Saturday also if anyone was interested. I'm guessing a lot of the downtown spots will be overloaded with show traffic plus normal weekend business, but it might be doable.
Schedule wise I'll be in town by mid morning Friday and am flying out Saturday late afternoon. Quick turn around for me this year, but I'll mange over a day and a half of floor time. I'd be up for hitting up the Pizza place Friday evening especially if they serve liquid refreshment (and since I'll miss the Thursday breakfast hangout).
I asked the same question from my brother in law who use to work in Indy in the motorsports industry, as I had folks going last year. Below was his response.

A few ideas, not sure of the show schedule and how much free time you're talking but some places I think would be cool to see:
· IMS Museum- no explanation necessary
· Dallara Indy Car Factory- may have special event or open house for show but they have tours... http://www.indycarfactory.com/
Hang out Food:
Union Jack Pub- West side in Speedway, between Downtown and Airport, Race themed pub, good food, great pizza and many beers
Charlie Browns Pancake and Steak- Main Street Speedway across from IMS, old hangout of older USAC drivers for Breakfast
Mug-n Bun- Old drive in near Speedway- food for Lunch, not good for you but good, get Breaded Tenderloin
Finer Dining: (Mostly Downtown)
St. Elmo’s- Best Steak in town, Expensive and may be really tough reservation with show
Harry & Izzy’s- sister restaurant to Elmos
Oceanaire- Good seafood, finer
Ram Restaurant and Brewery- casual, good
You said no loud clubs but- Slippery Noodle is great live Blues on several stages, downtown bar

If Italian is craved, Bucca di Beppo on Illinois St just north of Washington.....great Italian food.
Acapulco Joe's is a good "authentic" Mexican place downtown. There's the downtown Steak and Shake for cheap eats. If you don't mind the live music Slippery Noodle is a good place for beer and eats.
Anybody still down for Thursday at the breakfast?
I'm going to HPA tuning's ECU tuning meet-up at 8pm at the Westin. Acapulco Joe's sounds good as I'm always down for Mexican, or pizza works as well, whichever class decides.
Since no one else has posted on this....
I say we meet up at the Maryland and Capitol entrance tomorrow after the floor closes.
I saw team illuminata's (probably mispelled that) van earlier today driving around.
