This is a pic of my garage after I tore down my pegboard so I could put up 2 double cabinets (one seen near the bottomof the pic) scavenged from a kitchen remodel...a smaller version of the pegboard will go up beneath them, with a bunch of the stuff formerly hung on pegs placed inside. They will get a coat of white paint before too long. I also want to put some drawers under the bench, and a sliding door to conceal all that crap lol
Okay, so...pics from this weekend.
Here's the view coming down the driveway. There's an attached 2 car garage to the right for the wife's Cooper and whatever I'm not working on that day. Normally the camper stays outside to the left of the shop (where the Explorer is parked currently ), but I'm having issues with the top cracking, so it's camped out in the shop until I can do something about it.
standing inside looking back at the driveway, you can see the homemade bike rack I made and the adjustable wood rack the PO put in when he built this as a wood shop
Looking at the right rear, this is the general workbench and tool storage and the manual rollup door to the back yard
Left rear, the welding/fab table is on the left and a rolling work bench center under the license plates.
Looking at the back of the shop - you can see the NO channel letters I scabbed from work. I hope to continue collecting and decorating the back with vintage signs.
Overall I think it's 24x35 and has 220 and 110, but no water. There's some storage in the attic but it's hard to get into, and there's not enough headspace for a lift. I'll say that I've been really happy with it, and I'm continually organizing, revamping and adjusting to keep making it cooler.

Excuse me sir, but I'd like to sample that Merkur you have sitting there. I LOVE the wing.
Alas, given my attachment to it, I fear I must decline your kind offer to exercise my automobile for me.
BTW, I love the wing too. :)
BTW, here's the other garages I often get to use... @ my dad's place...
main house garage, storing my Mach 1:
1200sqft detached...lift equipped, but infested with Fiats:

Just renovated the garage last summer... This is the before:
and the after:
Something will be done about the floor this spring.
Previous owner of our house was kind enough to turn the attached garage into living space in the house, and build a 28x28 detached with a nice big gravel parking pad next to it on the other side of our lot. Also left me the old fridge and ventless propane heater.
Currently in a state of disarray, all the clutter makes it looks pretty small inside....it kind of isnt. lots of stuff needing to be hauled to the dump or to the shed in the backyard, or up into the attic of the garage, but I made enough room to get a car in there again. Lets be honest, I like to work on things then not clean up afterwards, that's really half of what is going on in these pictures.
Cant wait till I get the go ahead to insulate and drywall the thing, and do something with the floor, and come up with moar storage solutions. But even as it is I cant complain.
Warning long post with lots of pictures.

Here's a couple i took today after doing some straightening and testing my camera phone. This garage is horrible.
I think i need more motors.
I was still ashamed about this, AND my toolbox was overflowing, as seen here:
So i realized yesterday that 1) i had another shelving unit that i had found while cleaning, and 2) the walls of my entire garage were pegboard.
SCORE!!! $40 at HF later:

Waste of space, but i don't care, i'm OCD. Metric only 19mm to 4.5mm.
This is now what the old screwdriver drawer looks like. Can't wait to get a new box and buy good screwdrivers. Hate the Craftsman resin handles.
Terrible picture, but Gearwrench and Pittsburgh Pro metric ratcheting wrenches and Metric nut drivers.
PEGBOARD!!!!!!
I ACTUALLY have an empty drawer in my box now. All of my standard stuff is still piled in a cardboard box, though. Thinking about going and getting the 4 drawer HF Cart on sale for $99 to store SAE stuff in.
No pics yet, but a couple hours ago I pulled the trigger on renting a 40x60 shop, with the option to buy. Enough land to build a small house there if I eventually buy the property.
Get the keys this week, but probably won't have any time to start moving cars and other crap in until the end of April.
