That is way too many steps just to get a car to stay in neutral. I do understand why you would want it to be difficult to not have a car just able to roll around but wow that would make me angry the first time I tried to go to a car wash.

I will admit to taking a sick satisfaction when a Wrangler auto-shifts to Park... and then I reach down and manually shift the transfer case to Neutral.

Mine did it Wednesday. I haven't been in a car wash in years; I normally do it myself, but I was in a rush. The second I put my Chrysler 300 in neutral, it shifted to auto park and started beeping at me. When I finally got auto park off, it dinged at me the entire car wash. It was so annoying.
