Feels like the tropics in Central Georgia this morning - 6AM and it's 72*F, humid, and windy. The storms are supposed to hit in the next few hours but not expected to be as bad as they were in AL yesterday. Hopefully all our peeps over that way are still intact.

Last night had some thunderstorms but not much damage where I live. Sounds like Alabama got it a lot worse.

Tornados here in stanly county north Carolina last night. The whole family is good, and as far as i know damage wasn't too bad to anything but woods and crops.

We're fine on the MS coast. The storms on Tuesday peeled the roof off a nearby gym, but there were no reported injuries. We didn't have any significant wind here fortunately.

Damn glad I spent the last three months implementing a storm water drainage plan on my property. My 6" gutters were squeaky clean and the roof clear of debris, and still it was like a waterfall coming off the roof at the valley near my front door. The sheer volume of rain falling was insane.

Walked the yard this morning (half acre, not exactly big) and found where water was flowing off the road (city refuses to fix the sunken curbs) but got stopped by the retaining walls I put in. Excellent! The new dry creek beds channeled the water around the house as planned. If that rain had hit three months ago, I'd have a flooded basement again. No damage though, so we got lucky.

Two kids jumped in bed with us from all the lightening. Hell, even the cat was freaked out and joined the pile. My middle son slept through the whole thing in his own bed though!

North Alabama here, not much other than bucket loads of rain.  I have relatives just south of Birmingham, they have damage but are OK.  I think one street over from them was wiped out.  Today is sunshine and 70.
