I would have figured it was for excessive window tint.

it's funny you mention the window tint because in the cold the tint delaminated from the window going up and down slightly and ended up tearing on the drivers side window so I have to remove it anyway.  come spring time i'm going to go to chicago auto pros which is right down the street from me and have them redo the tint on the front windows because it's too dark for me and makes the car really dark inside at night...

Yeah, excessive tint is a pet peeve of mine.

It's beautiful car, otherwise.  Congratulations on making the purchase!

it took all summer but I made the leap and picked this up last night.  It's a higher mileage 2005 C2S /w an LN engineering 4.0L, GT3 suspension, and some other goodies (extra set of wheels, upgraded shifter, etc.)  I drove it home last night and really enjoyed the drive (except for getting pulled over in the first 20 min.

Congratulations and a modern classic.

Enjoy.

Man I love red 911s! I'd love to see more pictures when time permits. +1 on removing the tint. I actually like window tint but prefer ~40% so I can see both into and out of the car.

i paid $45,250 + BaT fee's (so just under $48k plus Taxes, title, and license) (check out the Bring a trailer auction in the previous post for all of the details as that is where I purchased it).  997.1's seem to be softening and several have sold recently for under 40k and super clean ones selling in the mid 40's to low 50's.
