I know there is a charge to list on Ebay... it is not much.. but there is also the precentage they take of the sell price
i have bought and sold race cars and motorcycles on both of those sites, the last one i sold on ebay, they charged a flat $40.00, no final sale value fee. Racing Junk is free it does not have the audience of ebay but it has worked for me several times.
I believe ebay is $125 if >$2000, $60 if under.
