flaming sarcophagus of caustic melting plastic and fecal matter
Don't be jealous Florida...
I was at a rave once where a portapotty was tipped over with someone inside. Ugh. It was at a campground too so bathing facilities were limited.
Burning Flesh already smells unpleasant, as does burning excrement and so does plastic. The three together must be what hell smells like
Given that porta potties don’t spontaneously combust on their own I’m curious about what was going on that caused several of them to go up in flames.
Having burned poo in a war zone, I can attest to the vile stink of such an event. And that “splash back” from diesel in the landing zone is.......unpleasant.

Or Gary, Indiana. Which is the same thing.
Then there was the poor woman that fell into a wood chipper at a paper manufacturer. No one noticed her missing for a day or two. She ended up as part of a sheet of plywood.

The father of my first college roommate worked at a large paper mill. They had a similar accident.
I seem to recall hearing a morbid story about someone drowning in a sewage pond, which sounded really awful as well, but when you add in the burning....
No fire this time, but apparently we potentially have a E36 M3ty serial killer on our hands
I'm really glad that I'm no longer an LEO.

Near my house is the last dairy farm in the county. Downhill from the milking parlor is the raunchiest sewage lagoon ever. He has signs stating no swimming and no fishing posted at it.
I'm guessing the first episode was meth smoking and the second was an od. That's not considered foul play I believe.

There are a lot of crazy ones in that industry. Two guys at one mill got buried in hot ash. That is near the top of my list, but the OP's is pretty bad.
