Anyone else know this band? I like what I've heard so far.

Have you heard the cover of Desperado by Me First & the Gimme Gimmes? Not death metal, more like punk-a-billy.
Ok that sucked. Try this one- Deftones and Maynard Passenger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um7ySTHsCf0
I'm a huge QOTSA fan, so I've heard of them. I don't like it very much. But I do like this song. There's a few others here and there that are good.
But it's not like QOTSA were you can just put in the CD and listen to the whole thing without skipping songs.
Or "Them Crooked Vultures" but to be fair, I've only given TCV like one/two listens.
Appereantly, Josh Homme knew this old weirdo, or met him-dug him up somehow, and this guy had the whole first EODM album written. They recorded it, and it ruled. Creepy and good. They recorded another albun-Creepy and Bad.
I love Josh Homme's early work...i.e. with the mighty Kyuss. "Blues For the Red Sun" and "Sky Valley" are awesome records. The QOTSA material is OK. This Eagles of Death Metal thing (which apparently Homme played drums in on and off?) does nothing for me.

All I could think of with the thread title is DEATH METAL ROOSTER
Them Crooked Vultures is a very good album. It might take a couple listens but really starts to sink in and has some solid musicianship on it. One of the better rock albums i've heard in the last few months I would say.

I know I need to give it another few listens.
Just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Big QOTSA fan and also a big EODM fan. There are a few of their songs that are wacky to the point of being annoying ('The Ballad of Queen Bee...' comes to mind), but the majority of the work is great, IMO.
