People buy a $330 Sypder? MAN, I've been out of the game a while now.
Yeah, I just started playing 2 years ago and it never ceases to amaze me that parents will purchase a spyder from a box store for 200 plus when they could have bought a rail or even something new and better from the field their kid is at every weekend for less. My advice to every parent I talk to is CL or go talk to the field owner/pro shop manager. At least at my local field he's a stand up guy who knows he stands to make more out of someone by getting them into something that lasts, is easy to work on, and will keep them coming out to the field. Heck we're (regulars) not even allowed to jump into most walk on games, just to keep it interesting for the newer players.!!
Usually, things I post on eBay are listed for either $0.01 or $0.99. I don't care how much I think it's worth, I keep reserves out of the game, too. I've sold many things for $100+ that I listed at less than a dollar than I can really remember. If I won't let something go for cheap if the auction doesn't pan out, I will put in on CL and gamble with getting a call there. For the record, I usually have better luck with eBay.
