A friend of mine was a F1 photographer. He was at a meeting with Ecclestone where a news media organization asked Ecclestone for permission to film the pit crews to provide better coverage and promotion of the event. Ecclestone said "Sure, if you give me five thousand dollars in cash right now." The new organization didn't have five large in cash to give him right there, and no receipt wouldn't have gone over too well with their bean counting anyway. He said "Denied."

Reminds me of the republican office worker who sent out a possibly racist (definitely un-PC at least) chain letter about Obama. Her apology: "Sorry I sent it to the wrong list of people"
