Across the membership, GRM is probably the smartest and most widely talented group of individuals on the internet. It's a privilege to be on here with you.
If you're electrically minded, design focused, curious, have a sense of humor, have some free time, can I borrow your talents for a product I'm developing?
The product is in the aviation safety space. As of today it's all purely theoretical. It may take off or it may never even be feasible. I need an expert (maybe a few) to consult with and with whom I can design a low voltage accessory for general aviation (and possibly airlines).
If you'd like to help I would love to have you help! >>>> I just can't pay. <<<< If this little venture gets traction we can negotiate pay at that juncture.
Not a canoe. Not a 12 year-old kid! Promise! Want to spend some time emailing a madman in your spare time? Message me and I'll make you laugh!
I have a cousin that might help you out if no one else steps forward.
30 year A&P with IA, associate degrees in EET and Aviation Maintenance. Could be available for consult.
Also minor word of caution. If this has the potential to become a big thing on all airplanes talk to an intellectual property patent attorney soon. It's not that expensive to get your dated idea documented. My family has 8 or so patents that I worked on and dad filed. They are all related to transportation safety. If I see out idea on the road, we might have some recourse.
Thank you. Messaged you both. I'm filing a provisional patent application to date the idea and they're valid for 1 year I believe.
And I'm an avionics systems engineer with pretty extensive experience in the air transport and business jet end of the market.
Sending PM. No engineering, but lots of experience doing sales and business development in aviation and interested in helping. Good luck!
I have decades of aerospace testing, would be glad to help out if needed (have test lab at disposal).
I'm impressed with the wrangling of legit talent in 3 hours and with less than 300 words.
I got nothing other than a sense of good to come
