No love for Pootie Tang?

Watta-tai my dabie! I got much love.
Years after I saw it, I realized that Louis C.K. wrote and directed it. Mind. Blown.
Ah yes... Troll 2. The archetype of a film so unintentionally bad it's good. There's actually a movie about that movie, on Netflix, called "Best Worst Movie". It's a documentary about the cult status that the film has garnered. One thing I loved was the fact that the original directors, a non-English speaking Italian husband and wife team, really didn't understand why the movie was bad and on the flipside why modern audiences loved it so much. Zero self-awareness is hilarious at times.

Not enough to watch it again--or even recommend it, to be honest. I'm no stranger to foreign films, but this one seemed to relish in its weirdness. Okay, I get it, it doesn't make sense.
I saw a review that said it would make a fine movie if an hour shorter. I'd agree with that.

Man, I haven't seen that in forever. That's a horrible classic, I love it!!
Top Secret
Naked Gun

Cabin In The Woods was great. You spend most of the movie thinking you know where you are, and then suddenly - BOOM - headshot.
Trollhunter was OK. I enjoyed it well enough, but I'm not convinced my wife has forgiven me yet.
Came in here to mention a few favorites, and completely forgot what I was going to add.
[EDIT]
Super - Meh. File me under "Didn't Like It." It couldn't decide what it wanted to be - Farce? Black Comedy? Drama? It wasn't funny enough to be funny and it wasn't serious enough to be serious. Kick-Ass did it better, and so did Defendor, and both those movies were out before Super.

Dark Star is awesomeness defined.
Second on Trollhunter, Tucker and Dale, Hobo with a Shotgun.
Goon was a very enjoyable movie. "I got two rules, Don't touch my berkeleying percocets, and do you have any berkeleying percocets"
It's been a while since I've had netflix, so I'm trying to remember.
BubbaHoTep was pretty good. Bruce Campbell plays Elvis in a retirement home that's getting attacked by a mummy.
+1 to Dead Snow.
Battle Royale is great fun, but the sequel is so bad it can actually make you like the first one less. Idiocracy is always a winner, as is SLC Punk. Black Sheep (about zombie sheep, not Chris Farley) was fun. I love The House of Yes, and The Great White Hype.
And I'm really looking forward to Zombeavers making it to DVD.
Need for Speed was a good movie in the vein of turn brain off and enjoy for what it is. I watched it and thought it was entertaining. I could pick up elements of Death Race, The Chase and Smokey and the Bandit in it.
Not a movie but I got sucked into the first season of Bitten. It's Canadian so bad acting and forced plots are a given but I'm all in waiting for the next season.

Yeah, there were a lot of references to classic chase movies that I enjoyed. Now every time I drive my silver mustang through the streets they used in the movie I get this strange itchy feeling in my right foot.
Shakes The Clown

John Carpenters student film BTW
Pinback: [making video diary entry] I do not like the men on this spaceship. They are uncouth and fail to appreciate my better qualities. I have something of value to contribute to this mission if they would only recognize it. Today over lunch I tried to improve morale and build a sense of camaraderie among the men by holding a humorous, round-robin discussion of the early days of the mission. My overtures were brutally rejected. These men do not want a happy ship. They are deeply sick and try to compensate by making me feel miserable. Last week was my birthday. Nobody even said "happy birthday" to me. Someday this tape will be played and then they'll feel sorry.
We've been on an old comedy kick. Big Trouble In Little China. Down Periscope. See No Evil, Hear No Evil.

Shakes is still the perfect alcoholic clown movie.
As a tribute to Robin Williams, I'd recommend one of his lesser knows works, but IMO one of his best. World's Greatest Dad. A dark, dark, dark comedy directed by Bob Goldthwait.
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. So bad it is great.
