I frequent the Disney Parks Blog and saw that this weekend is Disney's second annual Cars Masters Weekend.

Looks like this year Chip Foose is going to be there. He has actually been working with Disney at the new "Cars Land" at DisneyLand, so they got him to come down to Florida to be at the car show.

It's a car show right in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World. It looks like a good time, especially with the kids

Also for those who haven't been keeping tabs, Disney is opening "Cars Land" aka Radiator Springs at DisneyLand Resort. I've been following it's construction and have to say that I really want to go check this out kids or not.

Here's a cool video of the neon lit up at night. I'm impressed. http://youtu.be/KulyyHO5tlg

Walt Disney World wasn't left out. They just opened their "Art of Animation" Resort and one section is Cars themed. I have to say that they did and awesome job bringing a cartoon to life.

Here's a 5 min video interview with an Imagineer and Chip Foose. http://youtu.be/_yGDDJBvfaY

Same here, but I still think the plot for Cars 2 was a recycled Roger Moore-era Bond script.

Did the Aston main character give it away? Just kidding, but you are correct.

My wife and I want to make the trip over to Cali to see this. I told her we have to make it a road trip, and we have to include at least part of Route 66, and we have to visit some of the locations that inspired some of the locations in the movie.

From what I understand Chip did all of the paint for the cars. I really think they got this just right.

I'm going to have to watch that movie again. Every time I do, I see something in the background that I missed before.

I think it was pretty fitting that Doc was the last major movie role Paul Newman did.

In reply to Derick Freese:

If you do, watch the end credits of Cars. They do a Special Thanks to all the places that they visited that gave them inspiration for the movie.

On a side note, all the food that they came up with for Cars Land was food they found on Route 66. Disney had the Imagineers go back and find good food that they could sell to visitors.

So, one of the many Disney Blogs has Youtube videos of the full Radiator Springs Racers ride.

Disney did a most excellent job on this ride. Sure you can see the little things here or there, but it looks like a lot of fun. I could only imagine what a 6 year old would think of this ride.

The ride has two variations (These are Spoilers), You can see the difference at the 2 minute mark:

Luigi's Tire Shop http://youtu.be/ucx2wVM2cWY

Ramone's Paint Shop: http://youtu.be/Zve0m5Awmjc

It's not ruining it for me, because it will be a while before I get out there.

Awesome. Looks like an "E-Ticket ride"!

Love it that Ramone's shop has "Low Rider" playing in the background, that was great.

EDIT: My inner 6-yr old thinks it looks like a lifesize slot racing track.

In reply to friedgreencorrado:

It is, essentially. The cars are propelled by a mag drive system. It's the same ride mechanism as they use at Test Track in Epcot, and is similar to the launch system in use at Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney Hollywood Studios.
