You don't need us to invade them to go live there. There are plenty of ex-pats living in the mountains and on the waters of Mexico.

My bad for bringing it into the thread. The world is getting warmer and that's an unequivocal fact. The cause, I will grant you, is open to debate. The vast majority (like way over 90%) of scientists believe the cause is human related. You can find those that disagree the same as you can find people that believe the world is only 6,000 years old. Choose to believe what you want by who you want, but I'll go with the overwhelming scientific opinion.

It's definitely majority human-caused, and the people who are saying it's a hoax are right up there with The History Channel's "ALIENS" guy. Even the "pause" argument the kook in the article uses is easily debunked.

Yeah, a kook. Founder of The Weather Channel. What a flake. Or here's one: Some people believe the world is flat, so that means that global warming is true, right? Because, you know, science and E36 M3. And scientist are never wrong. Sorry to poke fun of your religion.

What is the deal with that little triangle of MD below western PA? Give that E36 M3 to WV or PA while you are at it.

And the annoying little "Virginia Annex" appendix thing at the tip of the Delmarva Peninsula. Who's window-licker-stupid idea was that?

A) WAYYYY too close to home.
B) Because we MADE their mess with the cartels.
C) Because the voting populace of Afghanistani or Iraqi descent are an insignificant minority, while the the voting populace of Mexican descent are an important demographic block for politicians.
D) All Of The Above.

Hahaha! That's like believing everything Rupert Murdoch says is true because he started and owns a E36 M3 ton of newspapers and TV channels.
That guy is my local weather guy and he has an OBVIOUS political agenda. Starting the Weather Channel was a business decision. Not only that, a meteorologist IS NOT a climate scientist. One studies weather (short term) and the other studies climate (long term weather patterns).

I know this is a moot point to the deniers, but I will take the educated, fact based opinion of 97% of climate scientists.

The "fact based" opinion of people paid to have that opinion. Never forget that. They come up with a different opinion, they don't get paid.

I think the bulk of Floridians would agree with this. And the line is slowly creeping north.

As for the topic in general, I don't think we should feed the Miami trolls who threw this out to the media.

The guy has a journalism degree (1957). He is (was) a freakin' weatherman. Just because he founded a channel about weather doesn't mean he knows anything about climatology. Should be believe whatever Ted Turner says about world events because he founded CNN? I would hope you can do better then that.
