So my sister who still lives back in the UK just sent me these. She was walking her dog along the towpath next to the canal and saw the follow so snapped the pics. She asked the crane operator and he confirmed it was a re-po, not being removed for service or something. I guess I'd always assumed that they'd repo them by jumping on board and storming off down the canal at 3mph.

I don't know what they're worth, but that seems to be an expensive method of recovery

Does that count as a repo or a foreclosure?

In reply to Floating Doc (Forum Supporter) :
A quick search showed them £30,ooo to £250,000. So maybe $40,000 to $320,000.

Well they're taking it away, so that seems like an actual repo to me! I wonder if the occupants are still asleep inside!
Never seen a repo. There's a group out of Waterford NY that will rent them, like an RV that floats. Go south to NYC, north to Champlain or east to Oneida. My brother worked for them. Rent for 5 days; why go 2.5 days out and retrace your steps? Chris would drive to Oneida etc. in a rented car, drop the car and motor back.
I prefer dutch barges, see Bowcrest Marine.com; so much roomier!
