Sometimes the reversions that make intake drone will conspire to reduce cylinder filling, and the anti-resonance chambers reduce that.
We discovered that when we decided we were smart and put a straight tube in a ZX2 to eliminate the resonance chamber dongus. We were rewarded with a big flat spot in the mid-RPM range. OE inlet tube went back on.
