In one huge chart!

NKAWTG!
That is every single active airplane in the air force? I figured we had more. Especially when we have this many as parts:
According to the official performance ratings for the M1 Abrams tank they are capable of 35 MPH. But when blew past me at 65 MPH in the sand......
I'd bet we have more hardware out there than is shown on your "graph".
In reply to KyAllroad:
Probably, but super secret black ops planes won't have US AIR FORCE stenciled on the side either. And if they don't offically exist, they can't be owned.
It sure ain't what it used to be.
I wasn't aware the AF was operating the EA-18G as their EW aircraft these days. I guess they needed something after the EF-111A went away, but it still seems odd.
In reply to 02Pilot:
Not that surprising, the 18 was the runner up to the 16 in the LWF competition. Both are immensely useful planes.
Actually, Northrop'sF-17 Cobra was the runner up. They got together with McDonald-Douglas, enlarged it by something like 10%, and went after the Navy contract.

Bingo, it didn't get that much bigger, not like the hornet to super hornet size difference.
When I say bigger, I really meant the F-18C/D weighs about 5,000lbs more empty than the F-17 does. The Navy likes em strong. The Super Hornet weighs 20,000lbs more, empty.
what was the old joke?
Who is the number one airforce in the world? USAF.
Who is number two? US Navy.
