For some reason I am totally pumped today is the last day of work for the week. I shouldn't be jacked up today because:
This is my "poor weekend" - payday is next Friday. I have no extra cash for projects or chicken dinners.
I am not going to the Chicago Auto Show.
The weather is cold - my son's car is in the way in my garage.
We might have to visit the in-laws tomorrow.
I have a busy week next week.....

Weird day here too - up at 5:30am when I didn't need to be until 6:30, showered, shat, shaved and ready to go by 6am... but working from home today so... could have been in my jammies until I hit the gym at lunch.
Maybe it's the weather, my joints are feeling the storm move in for sure.
As pathetic as it may sound, I get excited about Friday's for two reasons:
It's my "cheat meal". I'm a gym rat, and also have a fairly regimented nutrition plan. I allow myself one cheat meal per week...Friday dinner. So load me up with french fries and a burger!!! My wife and I wait to eat dinner until we put the kids to bed, so we actually get to sit and relax in front of the TV.
I get to sleep past 4am. As part of the gym rat thing, I'm up at 4am to head to the gym. Then my weekday evenings are packed with house chores and taking the kids too/from activities. So by Friday night, I'm totally wiped out. After stuffing myself with the above mentioned food, I drag my carcus upstairs and pass out by 10pm. I get to sleep until 7am the next morning. Sheer bliss. 
Off today. Had some book-shelves from Arhaus delivered. Next, taking the wifes Nissan in for service and that concludes Friday.
Saturday is a kiddie birthday party in the morning for my niece. After that, the wife and I are going antiquing. (My idea) After that, dinner with some friends.
Sunday,nothing. Might read and straighten the house up a little.
Took this Friday off. I am going to vegetate in-front of the TV with a video game or two which happens maybe once every three months.
Then let the family wedding Armageddon begin. ~35 people showing up today another 10 tomorrow.
Payday friday, got my federal tax return on Wednesday, should get most of the work done on the Miata for the seasons first track weekend at the beginning of March.
Other than a bumping headache this morning, it's a good Friday.
I love fridays... The office is a ghost town and I get to wear cargo pants and a polo instead of dress clothes.
Office is a ghost town because everyone teleworks on fridays.. I was smart, I made my telework on Mondays! (we can telework one day a week)

Damned near caught up at work. Granted, I work Saturdays, so that will make tomorrow "Clean Up" day, which sucks, but it'll be nice to have it done.
Sunday, for the first time since the kid was born, I have blocked off a whole day for nothing but WRENCHING!!! For some reason, my wife keeps forgetting this. Not my problem.
Monday, Mrs. Poo is working on taxes, and I get to have daddy/daughter day, which freakin RULES!!! We'll probably hit the "mall" (HUGE strip mall) a few exits south. Book store/pet store/dollar store, and run around at the park in the A.M.
Then it's off to the freakin dentist.

Since every friday is a payday for me, its nothing unusual, other than being buried in work.....and dealing with customers who hate the $100+ UPS NDA saturday bill, but were too inept to order said item in advance really sucks.
I'm having a contractor come out and give me an estimate for building a 48' x 50' shop!
Friday means that there is absolutely berkely-all going on out on the plant floor and the Maintenance guys get to surf CL and drink terrifyingly awful office-swill coffee all day.
Visit girlfriend tonite and tomorrow then ice racing sunday and 2 job interviews monday! Its going to be great!
It's my buddy's b-day this Saturday. The last three times I've been over there, I end up drinking myself into oblivion. I haven't had a drink in 3 weeks in preparation.
Friday, just another work day here.
Tomorrow is a autocross novice school, then oysters with some of the gang at the house. Sunday is autocross time. I'll probably suck at it since I haven't driven in several months. The nut behind the wheel is liable to be pretty loose.
Got a haircut today and then checked-out a local TiresPlus about new tires and alignment for the Civic. They've got a 25%-off deal on Falkens and I wanted to ask more than a few questions about aligning the car. The tech was pretty knowledgeable and didn't flinch (too much) about dialing-in a degree and a half of negative camber.
He's getting a tip next week when the work is done.
Anyone in the Stone Mountain area needs to stay away from Main Street. It's blocked off for filming the "Vampire Diaries" and detours abound.
