Sometimes I work near where a local news channel does man on the street interviews. On tv it always looks like we are a country full of idiots. Some days they will spend an hour finding people to give them the answers they want for a three minute segment.

I alternate between being horrified by the stuff that Poop says, and wanting to elect him president. Right now, I'm planning a write in campaign to get him on the ballot.....

Im in the same boat...I also think we should base your right to vote on your ability to contribute to society...as in: "wellfare? no vote for you"

Let's take the insanity a step further.

If you don't own a home, or if you own too many cars (obviously you make poor decisions regarding your resources, so how can you be trusted to vote)......then you shouldn't be allowed to vote either.

Let's not talk about how little ww2 vets might have known or not known about the civil war. I am certain that even if those folks didn't know much about the civil war their historical perspective isn't as short sighted as many these days.

So grimly, it seems given that we are approaching yet another nasty fight. At least from where I am sitting.

lolerskates...no, not class warfare. But look at it this way: the government controls the laws and their administration as they pertain to American society. Contribute to society, and you get a say in its governance. Suckle at societies teet, and you get what we give you.

Let's extend it up to the lower-class as well.

If you don't pay as much in taxes as my and I do, why you should you get to vote at all?

(See how stupid this sounds)

Yup, that stupid Constitution gettin' in the way again!

(BTW - are voting rights in the Constitution?)

Hey... don't worry, someone with a lot of money has way more political influence then someone without, so I am sure it balances out a bit.
